Stacy and I both loved The Mars Volta's first album De-Loused in the Comatorium but we weren't sure how they would sound live. Well they certainly did not dissapoint last week. They played a 2.5 hour set without a single song break. Just like in De-Loused and Francis the Mute one song blends into the next. The interludes were extraordinary explorations of distortion. I think we stood a bit too close because we're only just recovering our hearing now. An excellent show!
